ole Inks Co-Pub and Worldwide Admin Deal With Country Star/Songwriter/Actor, George Canyon TORONTO, ONTARIO, May 25, 2012 – ole has concluded a futures Co-Pub and worldwide legacy catalogue administration deal with award-winning Canadian country artist/songwriter/actor, George Canyon. Notable copyrights in this deal include "Pretty Drunk Out Tonight," "Just Like You," "Let It Out," "Betty's Buns," "In Your Arms Again" and the recently-released single, "Saddle Up," among others. George
Canyon is a multi-award winning Canadian country music artist and songwriter.
Since the mid-'90s, Canyon has released 9 albums and in 2004, the year he was
named the Canadian Country Music Awards' (CCMA) Rising Star, he was runner-up
on CMT's Nashville Star 2 competition which was viewed throughout North
America. He has received over 10 CCMA awards, including Single of the Year
(2004, "My Name"), SOCAN Song of the Year (2004, "My
Name"), Male Artist of the Year (2005, 2006) and, in 2011, was named CCMA
Producer of the Year for his album Better Be Home Soon, an accolade he shared
with acclaimed producer/performer/songwriter Richard Marx, who co-produced and
collaborated with Canyon on four of the album tracks. A
prolific songwriter, Canyon's songs have been covered by numerous other artists
including Nashville's Collin Raye, who recorded "Quitters." The song
"Where Did I Go Right," co-written by Canyon, Tim McGraw and The
Warren Brothers (Brad and Brett), who performed the song, was featured on the
soundtrack of the 2006 film Flicka, which featured McGraw in a starring role. "We
