On March 1st, Canadian independent music company Netttwerk Music Group launched Nettradio.com, a network of five online radio stations.

Each station focuses on a specific genre of music and features Nettwerk artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Delerium, Old Crow Medicine Show, Tiesto and the Finn Brothers. In addition, the stations provide listeners with the option to buy individual tracks by clicking through to Nettwerk’s download store, Nettmusic.com. CDs can be purchased from Werkshop.com.

The five stations are called New Releases, Singer/Songwriter, Roots, Chillout and Electronic. The New Releases station will stream in full recent and upcoming releases, such as Ivy’s In the Clear, also released on March 1st.

The station will also feature new music from The Devlins, Hermit, The Perishers and Coralie Clement. The five stations also offer exclusive content such as live performances and interviews with Nettwerk artists.

Á-la-carte download service Nettmusic.com was introduced last month. All songs are in the open MP3 format. Individual tracks are 99 cents and albums are priced between $7.99 and $14.99. Prices are in U.S. dollars.
