The Board of Directors of Sask Music is pleased to announce the appointment of John-Paul Ellson as the new Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Sask Music.  Mr. Ellson has been working since March as their Interim Executive Director.

Sask Music conducted a cross-Canada search utilizing the services of Adecco to ensure the best candidates were recruited for the organization. Adecco presented the top candidates to our search team who conducted extensive interviews.

Mr. Ellson brings a great deal of history and experience to this position.  He was a member of the Sask Music Board of Directors for many years and was President in 1995 - 2001.  He is the current chair of the FACTOR National Advisory Board, is a past chair of the WCMA’s, and was a local producer for the JUNO Awards, WCMAs and the CCMAs in 2007.

He has been an integral part of the music industry in Saskatchewan for many years and is a lawyer with extensive experience in entertainment law.  Please join Sask Music in welcoming Mr. JP Ellson as their new Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel.
